Privacy Policy

Chandrapur Vivaah is a matrimony service for people looking for meaningful marriage matches. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and how users can request deletion of their account and data. Users must also follow our Terms of Use.

Information We Collect

Account details such as name, phone number, email address, password hash and OTP verification status.
Profile details such as gender, date of birth, age, religion, caste, mother tongue, marital status, education, occupation, income, height, weight, city, state, country, about me, family details, horoscope details and partner preferences.
Photos uploaded by users for their profile and gallery.
User activity such as interests sent or received, accepted matches, blocks, reports, notifications, subscriptions and in-app messages.
Device and notification data needed for Firebase Cloud Messaging, crash prevention, security, fraud prevention and service reliability.

How We Use Information

To create and secure user accounts.
To display matrimony profiles and recommend matches.
To let users send interests, chat, block, report and manage subscriptions.
To moderate profile photos, investigate abuse and protect users.
To send service notifications, OTP messages and support responses.

Sharing

Profile information that users choose to provide may be shown to other users of the service according to app features. We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with service providers such as hosting, database, Firebase, notification, payment, SMS, email and security providers only to operate the service.

Sensitive Information

Matrimony profiles may include sensitive personal information such as religion, caste, marital status, photos, family details and partner preferences. Users should only provide information they are comfortable sharing for matrimony matching.

Data Security

We use HTTPS in production, access controls, password hashing, token-based authentication and server-side validation. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect user data from unauthorized access.

Data Retention and Deletion

Users can delete their account inside the app from Profile > Delete my account. Users can also request deletion online at the account deletion page. When an eligible deletion request is verified, we delete the account and associated profile data, including profile photos, messages, interests, matches, blocks, reports, subscriptions and notifications. Some limited records may be retained when required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment records, dispute resolution or safety investigations.

Children

Chandrapur Vivaah is intended for adults who are legally eligible for marriage. Users under 18 are not permitted to create accounts.

User Choices

Users can update profile details in the app, remove uploaded photos, logout, request account deletion or contact support for privacy questions.
